The event has as its central theme "Belém +30, will be held from 7 to 10 August 2018 in Belém do Pará. The rights of indigenous peoples and traditional populations and the conservation of biodiversity three decades after the Declaration of Belém." The objective of this congress is to reflect on the Declaration of Belém and the field of Ethnobiology at over the last thirty years, focusing on the scientific, ethical, legal and political advances and challenges related to indigenous peoples and traditional populations and the sustainable use of biodiversity.
